The rate with which Steph Curry is ripping up NBA records left, right, and center is a joy to behold, and the Golden State star has once again set new highs with his showing at the NBA All-Star game.<\/h2>\n

The event this year honored 75 of the NBA’s greatest players, one of which being Curry and another who was on court LeBron James, and the Warriors legend bagged an unbelievable 16 three-pointers and scored 50 points to help Team LeBron edge out Team Durant in the exhibition encounter.<\/p>\n

Curry’s form of late has been the focal point of the Golden State Warriors’ excellent season thus far, and if you look at the latest NBA title odds here<\/a>, you’ll see that Steve Kerr’s side are joint favorites with most sportsbooks, alongside the Phoenix Suns.<\/p>\n

The Warriors are 43-17 and sit second in the Western Conference and are sure to go long into the playoffs as they seek to secure their first title since 2018, and that’s down in no small part to Curry’s ridiculous form.<\/p>\n

Curry has been in such amazing form that even the most stern of commentators can’t stop lavishing praise on the 33-year-old, with much-despised pundit Stephen A. Smith heaping acclaim<\/a> on the three-time NBA champion;<\/p>\n

“Steph Curry is 6-3. You got bigger, stronger, faster dudes guarding him all the time, and there is nothing they can do about it. The dude is ridiculous.”<\/p>\n

“Steph Curry is a threat the moment he steps past the half-court. Think about that. If you’re a defense, you almost can’t do zone. You almost have to extend yourself and go out and guard him, which opens up the floor for everybody else cause this brother can pull up from 40. 40! He does it all the time.”<\/p>\n

“The All-Star Game is great as it was to see. You know what made it fun? How he was turning his back before it went in and stuff like that. That’s all he was doing. But the actual shot itself, no one was surprised. But no one was surprised! This dude pulls up from the logo, and you’re going like this ‘ah damn!'”<\/p>\n

Indeed, Curry was all tricks on All-Star night, but he’s been putting in this level of performance when it counts most, in the NBA, week in, week out, and he can certainly lead Steve Kerr’s side back to the title if he continues to post ridiculous numbers for the rest of the regular season and beyond.<\/p>\n

To the Golden State Warriors’ credit, they bounced back from losing four out of five ahead of the All-Star game to demolish the Portland Trail Blazers 132-96, with Klay Thompson and Steph Curry posting 18 points apiece in a more rounded team display that didn’t require their top-performer to move into second gear.<\/p>\n

And guess what, during the thrashing of Portland, Curry posted another amazing milestone when he provided an assist to Thompson (one of 14 during the game), which made it a thousand times he\u2019s found Klay for an assist. That makes him only the seventh point guard to record a thousand assists to a single teammate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
